High Pressure Jetting
High pressure jetting provides the most efficient method of unblocking and clearing blockages and debris that build up in drainage systems over time. We carry multiple different nozzle attachments to ensure that we are always prepared for whatever may be causing the issue.
The two biggest causes of problems in drains are deposits of fat and grease and wipes.
Grease and fat build ups take longer to form as it is a process of layers and layers of grease slowly forming together to clog the pipes and restrict the flow of water through the drains. Once cleared and the pipework has been fully descaled, this will give you long lasting results.
Wipes are the biggest problem in drainage systems as they are not designed to be flushed down toilets and once they start to build up can quickly become a serious problem. Even once removed and the pipework has been fully cleared and descaled, wipes will still cause blockages. Therefore, to prevent ongoing issues, we highly recommend they are thrown away and not flushed.
Internal Blockages
Overtime, many kitchen and bathroom appliances will become blocked. Kitchen waste pipes are usually blocked with food waste or grease, whereas bathroom waste pipes usually are blocked with hair or soap residue in the drain lines.
Due to these internal pipes being too small to jet through, we use a series of mechanical wires and industrial wet and dry vacuums to fully clean and clear all debris that obstructs the pipework.
In order to ensure that drains are working at their maximum capacity, we recommend that drains are inspected or cleaned routinely depending on the size of the drainage system and the amount of usage. For example, a private drainage system for a house may only need maintaining once every year or less, whereas a communal industrial system may need inspecting 2 to 3 times annually.
